Rings Of Daisies And Agarics
“i know you’re gonna meet someone someday
who’s in the right place in life for you
and you will make them so happy.
it will be hard for me…
but i’ll be cheering you both on
because you deserve that.”
The issue with letting a faerie take your verdant shades off
Is that they might just decide to wear them
And be more than just fit like a daydream
That it might just make them remember how unsure they are
Unsure of how to let the unresolved go
Amongst the hawthorns and Irish oaks
Tucked away in the oversaturated corners of the unknown
A concentric ring of daisies and agarics resides
Where the Devil churns his milk from time to time
Where wyrms have slept and rested their scorched tails
Surrounding a lamented, perished patch of sod and moss
The morning dew of the neighboring turf has shifted
For the ring of faeries was wholly disturbed
As the faeries dance no more
With the everlasting whistling of the wind
To the one who spills and breaks the faeries’ circle
To the one who kindles bonfires on the eve of every May
An immeasurable impact was embroidered
In the short amount of time that flew
So the only thing that can be done while I’m still here
Is to find the absurdity in the friar’s lantern
“i really appreciate what we had
as i learned so much
and i am sorry that i am not in the right place for this.
because you really did make me so happy…
i am going to miss you.
i’m sorry to hurt you like this.”
