Ampersand

Unfortunately, everything is on my mind

Including a black cat plush missing an eye

So I will take it all one breath at a time

For time can be dreadfully bland

But a potentially endless wonder

Ampersand

Since I rolled down the windows

It makes me wonder where my world went

In an attempt to leave behind our sorrows

For time is but an hourglass stand

That measures wisdom and experience
